After returning to Hvelfiham and debriefing, the team learn that Farblank Skky does have information about the development of Cranial Contents Storage Devices (CCSD) but is unwilling to divulge all she knows to the Church authorities interrogating her.

 

Instrument Monova soon “dies” and Skky does confirm that the tech is limited due to a cascading degradation that ultimately destroys all of the stored information. She also admits the basis of the tech was stolen from Utopia Corp. over a dozen years ago and is a result of the expedition to Kypri half a century prior.

While Church science is forbidden to pursue the technology on its own, it has been allowed to disrupt or steal in order to maintain technological superiority. Once the technology was discovered on Selos 2, leadership authorized any black ops missions necessary in an effort to destroy the Selosian CCSD tech. Church leadership fear there may have been a Selosian expedition to Kypri that discovered more of this technology of which they are currently unaware.

The team go to Kypri to investigate the location of the Utopia Corp Expedition some 50 years ago. There, they find an underground facility that is seemingly completely abandoned. 

​

After some investigation they discover a key and are able to access the rooms of this facility, uncovering a mysterious bio-material, ancient alien weapons and what turns out to be a synth in the form of the extinct aliens.
