After finding a tattoo artist to remove the prison ID tattoos from their faces, the escapees and former Hell guard embark on a mission to Hrefna in the Phippe system to retrieve the daughter of Ellis Gollum. He offers to pay them 100,000 credits, with a 10,000 credit advance and to put their stolen Red Colony guard ship in tip top shape. He loans the team a system yacht for the trip to Hrefna, located 12 hours away in the same system as the station, Trumpler 4.

Once on planet, the team begin searching for clues as to the whereabouts of their subject, Keira Gollum. Using the computer terminals in a nearby coffee shop for a search they are soon approached by an agent of the local authority who questions them sternly for a few minutes before making it clear a bribe is in order.

 

The officer gives them a lead on the whereabouts of detective Xiuying Declan, who went missing a month before just as he discovered the location of Miss Gollum. At the Precinct HQ building, where the officer indicates he is being held, they bribe a desk officer to acquire an audience with the Magistrate, who lets them know the detective is in her jail and isn't due for adjudication for 2 months.

The team pay a visit to Declan in his holding cell and strike a deal to have him released in exchange for giving them the last known location of Miss Gollum. Back at the precinct desk the team discover that bail is out of their fiscal reach but are able to again bribe the officer to get their detective released.

 

After allowing him to clean himself up, they head for Miss Gollum's last known address and upon arrival, spot 2 official police type vehicles parked in front of her apartment building. Declan tells them that if the police are there for her, Miss Gollum is probably not going to be on site for much longer.
