Session One Summary
Calibre, The Chained One and Iris Millet arrived on The White Hand Complex to question the captured synthetic that was claiming to be Merlin Monova, an Instrument of Eternal Light. Not being immediately forthcoming, The Chained One drew on it, missing with his first shot, pulling his blade and slashing the synthetic's arm as it attempted an escape. Calibre shot it with his spike thrower, destroying one of its legs and rendering it immobile. After some disagreement among the team, The Chained One removed the synthetic's head and they returned to the ship to investigate further.
Once connected to a power source and a visual display, clues to its origin trickled forth. Apparently, a lab inside a cave held other synthetics, though they'd been moved. There were also indications the synthetic brain could be holding stored human memories.
The team decided to reconnect the head to the torso to take it along to Selos 2 and lead them to the lab in question. After leaving their ship docked on the blockade flagship the team take a shuttle to the surface of Selos 2 and prepare to find the lab.
Session Two begins the afternoon of Monday, January 17, 3200
Session One Notes
Your Mission -
Merlin Monova, an Instrument of Eternal Light, the Church's classified intelligence service is missing. Assigned to Selos, six months ago he communicated that he'd discovered something so important he was coming in for a debriefing. He was never heard from again.
A week ago, the Church Sector Guard operating the blockade of Selos intercepted a small ship attempting to get off world. The lone pilot claimed to be the lost Instrument Monova, yet he was, by all means of identification, not. Taken to a secure location on Hur X, he was questioned by Guard officers, who attained information that could only have come from someone with inside knowledge of Eternal Light workings.
After a thorough physical exam, this person turned out to be a synthetic. Its body is a very good example of synthetic technology but its brain is something else altogether. Preliminary results of testing has determined the tech is far beyond the level of any known to Church scientists.
Your team will travel to Hur X, question the synthetic further, determine what it knows, verify that information and then determine the origin of the synthetic and its technology.
Your Team -
Your team was formed by a member of the Omnyou, a former Pirani General of the O'Render system named Imon T'Lora. Saltigue T'Lora has been the leader of the black ops division of the House Sector Guard for over 20 years and has eight teams under her, including yours. Team Four was lost on a mission in the Polymen system and T'Lora recruited you to replace them.
Each of you were members of separate special operations teams deployed throughout the sector for the last year or so. Your commanders saw something special in you and recommended you for promotion, which brought you to the attention of T'Lora's staff. After a rigorous vetting process, the five of you were asked to serve as members of the nameless top secret unit.

The Informal Measure, a streamlined, high tech gun boat is no different. It is equipped with Hardened Polyceramic Overlay armoring, a state of the art Plasma Beam canon, double capacity fuel tanks and a 3rd level Spike Drive. In the hands of the right crew, this ship could wreak havoc on a small fleet of pirate ships, or easily out run them.
The Informal Measure is a one of a kind ship constructed out of the Church's own shipyards, The Light, The Way Graving Dock at Edearusee.
Under management of Tura, the owners of the largest shipyards in the system located in the O'Render system, The Graving Dock builds the fastest and most powerful ships of the House Guard fleet.
The Informal Measure

Hur X was colonized during the second wave. A group of colonists intent on improving their genetic lot, isolated themselves on this lifeless rock in the Teris system. In the early years after the Scream, the Jelq government came calling, demanding a battalion to swell the ranks of the Actionaires, the sector government’s army. They refused and were decimated by bombardment from orbital platforms. Those few remaining inhabitants of Hur X, under the boot of oppression, reformed their government and swore to provide the troops required.
The society of Hur X is controlled by a tyrannical government, headed by an inherited emperor with absolute power over the citizenry. Tourism is not encouraged by the powers that be outside the Teris system but is a large part of the local economy. Visitors can travel freely, while citizens are held in check by genetic manipulation as well as technological means.
Hur X is a major port for the Church in its ongoing effort to subjugate Selos 2. They maintain a large base on Hur X with a sizeable garrison of troops and heavy weapons, most of which are used on Selos 2 with regularity.
Science on Hur X has reached a level of perfection in eugenics beyond that of any other sector world. Over the past two hundred years, they’ve successfully bred out many of the factors associated with weakness in their culture, including the psychological aspects of fear, doubt and the questioning of authority, as well as physical traits such as obesity, lethargy, a need for sleep and the reception of pain. This would, indeed, make for a dominant warrior, however, the Church declared such tampering with the genome to be a heresy and while not refusing the inhabitants of Hur X their own self-determination does not allow these sorts of gengeneered individuals to serve in any capacity.
Mission Specific Details
The Church base on Hur X, called White Hand Complex is a sprawling station of barracks, training and practice grounds, armories, munitions depots, repair facilities and miles of heavy artillery and grav-tanks. Something in the neighborhood of 25,000 Church infantry are stationed on the base. Landing there requires a long, slow approach through the atmosphere as multiple outposts track and scan the ship.
At the Selos 2 system, the blockade Commander, Pirani General Remedy Ditou is a small, round, brown woman who appears to be in her 60s. She is bald and wears the common cloth robes and simple sandals of a member of the Church with a flag of O'Render on her shoulder and 60 years worth of service hash-marks on her sleeve.
